About Me
I have been in private practice since 1991, as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, body-centered psychotherapist, teacher, and inspirational life coach.
I received my Master's Degree in Social Work from Denver University. I have completed numerous post-graduate trainings, including Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Polarity Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, Gestalt, Breathwork, Psychodrama, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and BrainSpotting.
I have worked with thousands of adults, adolescents, children, and families, treating stress, trauma, chronic pain, anxiety and depression in several settings, including in-patient, residential treatment, community mental health centers, and private practice.
My approach integrates psychotherapy and somatic (body) awareness. This effective holistic approach can result in clients experiencing more fulfilling ways of being in their lives, greater health and comfort in their bodies, and heightened accomplishment and empowerment.
I feel there is an intimate relationship between one's attitudes, thoughts, and feelings. This relationship can profoundly affect our physical, emotional, and mental health. Healing needs to take place on many levels - and, with the right approach, it can.
